Eat small meals - Though this may sound ridiculous, it has been proved that eating smaller meals more often works better than eating 3 big ones. The trick is to eat limited quantities more frequently so that your metabolism is not allowed to drop below required levels. Six small meals a day as compared to three larger ones is a sure shot way of losing weight and maintaining it at that optimum level

Add more raw foods to your diet - raw foods whether fruits or vegetables have more fiber content and excess water content. They also contain less of fat as compared to cooked foods. Increasing intake of baby spinach, salad leaves, radish, cucumber and other salad items with a minimum of dressing would mean fewer intakes of calories. However, one should ensure that all such raw foods are washed thoroughly before eating.

Set aside 30 minutes for exercise - There is no need of fancy exercise apparatus or registering at a gym. Setting aside just thirty minutes for a brisk walk is all that is necessary.

Relax - Sleep deprivation is linked with stress which in turn leads to weight gain. Cortisol - a stress related hormone is released into your system when you are under stress. High Cortisol levels coupled with slow metabolism leads to weight gain.

Following these tips and getting plenty of exercise, relaxation and fresh air would certainly see you on the road to weight loss.
